Festive Lights in Garden City

Unfortunately the High Winds we have been experiencing have damaged som of the festive lighting brackets. Because of the style of the lights in Garden City they have been badly affected and some are already broken. As the forcast is for more very high winds such as have caused the damage it will be unsafe to leave the lights up and all Garden City lights will be removed for repair today or tomorrow. It will probably not be possible to repair and re-instate the lights before Christmas but we cannot risk them falling and damaging people or property. We are not the only town with the problem of lights being taken down. I know Beith and Saltcoats have to have some lights removed also.
