Diverted Traffic

Surely all the Hunterston lorries arent going to be diverted through our town centre?

Surely the community council and local council have looked in to this .They cant possibly send all those lorries through there for 10 weeks .Doesnt anyone ever notice the volume and damage these lorries are making.The school kids are at danger, weve already had an accident were a school kid was killed this needs to be sorted out sooner than later .Or is it to late?,someone needs to contact the contractors or Hunterston to sort this out

jjbrown the Lochwinnoch road is only closed at the kerse junction the lorries are then going up the lochlip road into beith and the others are coming through dalry and up onto the motorway.

As for the community council and NAC doing something about what do you suggest we at the community council have raised concerns over the lorries for years and they are still using the road.

The reality is that the lorries are all road taxed insured and fully legal and as such can use the roads they choose to use,neither the Community Council nor NAC can stop them as they are doing nothing wrong, so sadly they will remain coming through the town unfortunately
