Winning the Ayrshire Cup 1888

I have come across an old photo of Kilbirnie Football club with the Ayrshire cup - taken in 1888. It is printed on stiff card with 'Anderson & Son, Dalry' on the side. Would the firm have sponsored the printing of the photo? My maiden name is Anderson and many of my relatives came from Kilwinning.

It is many years since I lived in Ayrshire, so any information on team members or connections with the Anderson family or business would be much appreciated.

We too have this photo, I am not sure who in our O'Hara family gave this to me about 4 yrs ago but there was no notation of who the fellows were. Our family in New Zealand don't recognise anyone in the photo but if there is someone who has a record of the names, please let us know.

Kerrie O'Hara - my husband John's grandfather lived in Kilbirnie, left in about 1910 to New Zealand, 2 sons to Sydney Australia
