Kilbirnie Green Gym
Kilbirnie Green Gym is prepared to launch on Thursday 12th November!
BTCV Green Gyms are a new approach to creating healthier communities and a healthier environment. Health clubs and sports centres don’t appeal to everyone. The Green Gym offers people an alternative – the opportunity to improve their physical fitness by involvement in practical conservation activities such as woodland management, horticulture, tree planting, planting hedges, dyking, greenspace enhancement or improving footpaths.
The Kilbirnie Green Gym will be based at Bridgend Community Centre where the task will be renovating and restoring the green space at the side of the centre into a community garden for the whole town to enjoy.
The plans for the garden include landscaping the grounds, building raised beds, planting hedges, creating a sensory garden, installing seating areas and creating a rockery.
Sessions will run every Thursday from 10-1, come along to the Community Centre on Thursday 12th to find out more, or call in advance to get more info:

Fantastic news what a waste of a good space I am glad someone has seen sense to allow this to be used for the community.
